Hello!! My name is Kelsey Price. I am a wife and a proud mother to an adorable fur-baby (aka: my cat), named Zukie. I am excited to say, that I am the creator of all the pieces available for purchase on this shop! :)

 

I started Crystal/stone wire wrapping in December of 2020. I have always loved dabbling in jewelry making. Whether it be stringing beads to make a bracelet or making a pair of earrings for my mother. But when it came to wire wrapping, because I was so “wrapped” up in how it was going to turn out, I would lose track of time, that’s when I realized I truly enjoy making wrapped jewelry.

The first time I went to my local gem store, my life-long passion for learning about and collecting crystals & stones began. After collecting for a while, I started thinking of other ways to carry my beautiful stones with me. I bought my first roll of wire and started wrapped every crystal/stone in the house and haven’t stopped since.

The idea of The Twisted Stone jewelry business began the day I gifted a pendant to my sister-in-law. She was not able to wear a necklace in quite a few years. For medical reasons, she needs to wear a neck brace, and if she put a necklace on, the chain would get caught under the neck brace and rub/irritate her skin. I knew there had to be a way to allow her to wear a necklace, without hurting her skin.

After a couple of failed attempts, I figured out a way to make a wire piece to attach to her neck brace. It allows her to put a small to medium sized pendant on it. She couldn’t get to the mirror quicker! It hung so beautifully on her neck that she couldn’t stop looking at her reflection. I knew at that moment, that I needed to do something that could make people feel the way she did that day. A couple months later, I decided that I needed to launched an online shop!
